Requesting a correction
Email corrections@velvkey.com with the exact Velvkey URL and statement at issue, the requested correction, and an official or otherwise reliable source. Include the date the source was observed and any reason the matter is time-sensitive. Site owners and authorized representatives should use an official-domain email.
How requests are reviewed
Velvkey compares the request with current sources, prior observations, and the methodology used for the page. A correction may be accepted, declined, or reflected as uncertainty when reliable sources conflict.
Velvkey may temporarily restrict a disputed claim or asset while reviewing a credible rights, safety, identity, or materially misleading-content concern. Temporary restriction does not decide the merits of the request.
Facts and editorial judgment
Factual errors are corrected independently of requests to change an opinion, score, ranking, or recommendation. A disagreement with Velvkey's editorial judgment is not, by itself, a factual error.
Commercial independence
Payment, advertising interest, affiliate participation, and product ownership do not purchase a correction or improve a public score or ranking. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
Response and follow-up
Keep the original subject line when supplying additional evidence. Velvkey may request clarification or proof that a sender is authorized to speak for a provider before changing ownership or official-link information.
Velvkey does not promise a particular outcome or response time. Requests involving immediate personal safety, suspected unlawful material, an active security incident, or a materially harmful false statement should be labeled urgent and should explain the time-sensitive risk without attaching illegal or unnecessary sensitive material.
Correction record
When a correction materially changes a public conclusion, Velvkey may update the page, its observation date, confidence, score inputs, or explanatory note. Minor style changes need not receive a public correction note. Velvkey retains appropriate source and review records to support the resulting editorial state.
